Janelle Brown's oldest daughter, Maddie Brown, recently pointed out that her father, Kody of Sister Wives, hadn't visited his grandchildren in a while. Tensions are at an all-time high with the Browns as the new season is about the start. Many TLC viewers feel Kody has an out-of-sight, out-of-mind approach when dealing with his children.
While Maddie may not have chosen first to take part in the TLC series, she has accumulated quite the following. Sister Wives has chronicled the lives of Maddie's parents, Janelle and Kody Brown, and their polygamist lifestyle. For a long time, their marriage was illegal in Utah, so the family was forced to move. Maddie, along with her husband, Caleb, have been regularly featured on the show, which began in 2010. For many seasons, fans have watched Maddie grow up. Now, Maddie is an adult trying to navigate the waters of motherhood.
Kody has been noticeably absent from his grandchildren's lives, and fans are not okay with this. Recently, Maddie took to her Instagram to share two of the cutest editions as she revealed the Brush family had adopted two puppies. Maddie introduced the two Labradors as Caroline and Gracie. According to the Sister Wives star, "Axel is OVER THE MOON, Evie isn't quite sure." The adorable picture melted viewers' hearts as they could see the chocolate and black lab adjusting to their new surroundings, but they quickly noticed that while Janelle was there to help, Kody was nowhere to be found. Kody has been MIA for some time now, and it has rubbed fans the wrong way. This is not the first time Sister Wives viewers have called the patriarch out for being an absent father. Kody refused to travel to New Jersey when his daughter needed surgery, and he also didn't go to North Carolina to see his two grandchildren. Viewers feel it may be too late for Kody to fix his failing relationships as the damage could already be done.
Sister Wives fans have started to speculate that even Janelle has become fed up with Kody's selfish ways. There are rumors she decided to join Christine Brown in Utah after she posted that she would be packing up for the winter and leaving Arizona. The post confused fans since Arizona is a snowbird destination to escape the cold. It is hard to dissuade viewers from the cold hard fact that Kody could just be a father who shows up for the photo opportunities. Hopefully, the new season will go more in-depth when it comes to Kody's personal relationships with his children.
